I have been restoring Midland Jump Spark Cigar Lighters and Eldred Wireless #12 Jump Spark Cigar Lighters for a over 10 years now and this Wireless #12 is beautiful. This Wireless #12 has been had all metal parts polished and boasts 90% of the mirror-like original finish in tact and tons of character on the gorgeous oak case that has been CLEANED ONLY as the beautiful original finish is still beautiful today. The lighter comes completely as seen being entirely worked through mechanically. It includes the cleaned and working rare & very strong period spark coil, having been cleaned and calibrated, produces a tremendous buzz and spark, and original ceramic insulator. These lighters originally had asbestos wicks that became clogged with the use of their original fuel (gasoline). I have completely replaced the original wick to ensure a clean and efficient fuel draw that produces a fantastic flame - check out the pictures of the huge flame and sparks!!! It also comes with reproduction Columbia batteries that are period correct but completely refillable with modern D cell batteries.
This Wireless #12 is ready to be not only be the center conversation piece of your room, but reliably light up your favorite cigar. Did I mention, IT WORKS?!?!?! The Wireless #12 is of course an antique at approximately 100 years old. It has plenty of imperfections that add to its story. It comes as is, with no returns accepted.

As you can see from the pictures, there's a mess of wires in the box and it's full of batteries and spark coil - you'll need to be careful when refilling it batteries. Additionally, I do not ship the lighter with any fuel in it. You'll need to get a hold of some lighter fluid. I recommend a premium Zippo fluid as to not clog the wick. The lighter will be ready to go right out of the box. I may disconnect one wire to eliminate any possibility of sparking in transit. The case will be packed tight as to ensure no movement of interior parts. It is possible that during shipping the jiggle of the box may knock the spark coil out of calibration - easy fix with the tightening of a screw that I'll be happy to assist with. The lighter is an antique and should be considered as such. There are imperfections in the lighter - look at the pictures carefully please to understand the condition.
