Myon Rare Vintage 1940s Diamond Pattern Silverplate Or Chrome Metal Lighter

This collectible vintage MYON metal lighter can likely be dated back to the 1940s, possibly earlier. A raised diamond pattern has been pressed into the chromed or silverplate metal to create a textured surface. Reminiscent of early Hollywood screen sensations and film noir, the design has a modernist, art deco vibe. The underside is stamped. MYON lighters were typically made in France.
The lighter has not been used for many years, so it will definitely need a good cleaning. Its appearance and condition are overall good to very good. The cylinder seems to spin as intended, and the lid flips open and closed nicely. It does, however, exhibit other imperfections due to age and use: as can be seen from the photos, the lighter has several dents, and it has some surface patina. This lighter has not been tested, and I'm sure it would need whatever new or additional replacement parts (such as a new flint) to become operable. It would also need to be refilled.
