Mint Unfired 1950s Uss Albacore Ss-569 His & Hers Boxed Lighter

This is a rare and valuable set of His & Hers Boxed Lighters from the 1950s USS Albacore SS-569. The lighters are mint unfired and come in their original packaging. They are a great addition to any collection of original period items, particularly for those interested in militaria and collectibles from Korea (1950-53). ARTIFACT: This is a mint 1950s boxed set of "his and hers" lighters by Vulcan with dolphin engravings and an enameled medallion for the USS Albacore on each. The Albacore was commissioned in 1953 as a test sub and can now be seen at Albacore Park in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Both lighters are unfired.
VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.
SIZE: Box: approximately 4-9/16" in length and in 3" in width and 5/8" in depth; "his" lighter: approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-7/16" in width and ½" thick; "her" lighter: approximately 2" in height and 1-3/16" in width and 3/8" thick.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Chrome-plated brass with enameled areas, cardboard box with silk lining.
