This key chain a removable cap that exposes a handy lighter. This handy sized lighter is machined from solid brass components and finished with jewelry grade plating. With a replaceable flint, standard lighter fluid compatible, genuine felt reservoir and O-Ring to prevent leaking, you will always have a great working lighter when you need it. The overall key ring is about 3/4" at its widest diameter and is about 3" long (not including the ring). This item was made from a beautiful piece of Box Elder Burl. A burl is an abnormal growth that typically grows on the outside of the tree and usually near the tree trunk. So, during the turning process, natural flaws such as dark lines, imperfections, natural voids, knots, worm holes, insect art, etc. all adding to the uniqueness and beauty of the piece, are revealed. I am now using the Super Glue (CA Glue) finish for all of my key chains. This type of finish is extremely durable and will help keep your key chain safe from water, oil and the rigors of daily use. You will receive the exact item pictured. I have been a woodworker for over 20 years, making everything from complete custom cabinetry, to bowls, boxes, and pens on the lathe.  However, due to health issues, I now only turn projects on the lathe in order to give myself something to do for the few hours a day I can stand.
